Why does the same venue quote several prices?
Hearing “from 150,000 VND” is not enough. Six things move the final bill:
- Room tier — standard rooms for 5–10 guests, VIP for 10–20, Platinum or super VIP for 20–80. Each tier adds 100,000–400,000 VND per hour.
- Time slot — afternoons are cheaper than evenings, and many venues keep a separate rate for 09:00–17:00.
- Weekday versus weekend — Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays usually run 20–50% higher.
- Minimum booking — most venues charge at least 2 hours, and 3 hours at peak times.
- Food and drinks — almost always billed separately, never included in the hourly rate.
- VAT and service charge — ask whether the quoted rate includes VAT, because 8–10% on a 2 million dong bill is another 160,000–200,000 VND.
