Pasteur Street Craft Beer: Saigon Craft Brewing and 15 Taprooms
Pasteur Street Craft Beer (Pasteur Street Brewing Company) is the brewery that started the craft beer wave in Saigon in 2014 and opened its first taproom down the alley at 144 Pasteur in January 2015. As of October 2026 the brand runs 15 taprooms — 12 in Ho Chi Minh City and 3 in Hanoi — pouring fresh beer on site with a full kitchen. It is not a nightclub: most taprooms close between 11pm and midnight, which makes them ideal for a late dinner, a pre-club meet-up or a rooftop pint. To hold a table for a group or check the price on the day, call the hotline +84 966 877 714.

Why Saigon drinks at Pasteur Street
First, the beer is fresh from the source. The brewery is in Saigon, the tap list rotates with the seasons, and a few small-batch beers only appear at selected taprooms. If you have one evening, order a flight of four to six small pours and work from light to heavy: start with Bia Chanh Muoi at 2.5%, move up to Pomelo IPA at 6.2% and finish on the Cyclo Imperial Chocolate Stout at 13%.
Second, the locations. Three taprooms sit within walking distance of Ben Thanh Market — Original at 144/3 Pasteur, Ly Tu Trong at 110-112 and Bui Vien at 212 De Tham — so they slot easily into dinner followed by a walk to the backpacker quarter. Groups who want quiet pick Nguyen Duc Canh in Phu My Hung, Sala in Thu Duc, or Ngo Thoi Nhiem with its open-air beer yard and mini brewery upstairs.
Third, the food. The kitchens run pub-style European and Asian plates, including seafood and spicy dishes that suit beer; bigger groups should book ahead because central taprooms fill up from 6:30pm on weekends.

Prices and how the bill works
The brand does not publish a drinks price list online; every taproom has its own menu and prices move with the seasonal taps. Third-party booking pages have quoted a reference range of 39,000 VND to 899,000 VND depending on the item or combo — treat that as an indication, not a posted price. For the price of a glass, a tasting flight or a food set for your group on the night you go, call +84 966 877 714 or ask at the taproom.
On the bill: menu prices exclude VAT of 8-10% and some venues add a service charge, so ask whether a group booking carries a table fee.
Reservations, large groups and events
Taprooms take timed table bookings, hold large tables for 8-20 guests and several have private areas (two floors at Bui Thi Xuan and Cua Bac, an open-air yard at Ngo Thoi Nhiem). Birthdays, company parties and product launches are welcome — give two or three days’ notice to keep a private zone. Call or message +84 966 877 714 on Zalo/WhatsApp for a free reservation, use the booking page, or pin the taproom on the Saigon nightlife map.
Practical notes before you go
- It is not a club: most taprooms close at 11pm, the latest (Bui Vien) runs to 1am-2am. Plan a club nearby if you want to keep going.
- Weekends fill up: central taprooms are full from 6:30-7pm, so book or arrive early.
- Groups: splitting beer trays is easier than ordering single glasses, and beer-plus-food combos usually cost less.
- Parking: alley taprooms such as Original have no car park; use a nearby building or a ride-hailing app.
- Rainy season: May to November is wet, so pick a taproom with indoor seating or a covered roof.
