Location and getting there

Number 33 sits mid-street on Ma May, towards Hang Bac. Within a few dozen metres you reach Fein Club at 44 Ma May, then The Bunker and Midnight Club at 46 Ma May, and Entropy at 15 Dao Duy Tu. That density is why The Circle usually works as the second or third stop of a night.

From Friday evening through Sunday the Ma May – Hang Buom – Ta Hien area is pedestrian-only, so cars cannot pull up. Park around Tran Nhat Duat or Hang Muoi and walk 5–10 minutes. On wet nights, ask the venue about the nearest parking, because several surrounding streets flip direction by time of day.

Space and music

The Circle is designed modern and young: almost the entire room is glass panels and LED screens, with purple, green and lime neon running along the walls and ceiling. The lighting shifts constantly, which makes the space feel larger than its footprint – and it is a big reason the club is popular with the photo crowd in the Old Quarter.

The sound is hip-hop with non-stop remixes, gathering pace towards the end of the night. The venue also runs dedicated hip-hop nights (for example its Hiphop New School series) with guest DJs, while Vietnamese and international remixes fill the rest of the week to keep the floor moving. Drinks run from classics to crafted cocktails, so lighter drinkers are covered too.

Table combos and prices

The Circle is one of the few Old Quarter clubs with fairly explicit table combos. The list below follows the venue’s published booking prices, per group:

Table tierWhat the combo includesMinimum spend
Standard table1 bottle + fruit + 2 soft drinks + peanuts + 2 waters + 5 Pickapu shots3,999,000 VND
Super sofa (standard area)2 bottles + fruit + 2 soft drinks + peanuts + 2 waters + 10 shots5,999,000 VND

Infinity combo (VVIP)6 bottles or 2 Dom Perignon + fruit + 2 soft drinks + peanuts + 2 waters + 60 shots24,999,000 VND

These prices exclude 10% VAT and a 10% service charge – roughly 20% on top, which matters when comparing with other clubs. Combos can change with the night and the bottle type; the lowest figure on the venue’s published list is 799,000 VND for drinks or a small table.

Tips for a night at The Circle

  • Best arrival: 21:30–22:45. After 23:30 at weekends it is close to full, especially on hip-hop nights.
  • Match the tier to the group: 2–4 guests fit a standard table; 5–8 should move to the super sofa; only from 8 upwards does VVIP make sense.
  • Dress code: smart casual, closed shoes preferred. No flip-flops, shorts or tank tops.
  • Book ahead: larger groups should book 1–2 days out to hold the right tier and a position near the floor.
  • Birthdays and group parties: tell the venue in advance for a joined table and set-up; Old Quarter clubs usually cannot set up within 30 minutes of the booking time.
  • Keep moving: Fein, The Bunker, Midnight and Entropy are all on foot from here – no taxi needed.
